NOMINATION FOR NEW CASTLE CONSERVATION DISTRICT
SUPERVISOR
Newark, Delaware – The New Castle Conservation District Board of Supervisors announced that nominations may be made for a Supervisor to serve on the Conservation District Board. The four-year term will start January 1, 2026. The annual election will be held in December, 2025 at a date, time and polling place location(s) as determined and announced by the Board, if necessary. The Board is nominating Mr. Richard Morris as a qualified candidate for the election which is in keeping with the rules and procedures pertaining to the election of Conservation District Supervisors.
Any interested resident within New Castle County who desires to be a candidate and meets the requirements for election to the Board may be nominated by ten (10) or more landowners of New Castle County.
Requirements are as follows:
1. Be a non-farmer residing in the “norther portion of the
County” designated as NCCD Board of Supervisors
Area 1 description as follows:
• NCCD Board of Supervisors Area 1 – From the
Pennsylvania-Maryland lines extending southward
to Interstate Routes I-95 and 295 to the Delaware
Memorial Bridge.
2. Nomination(s) must be supported by ten (10)
signatures of landowners in New Castle County and
presented in an envelope containing the name
and mailing address of the individual(s) making the
nomination and the accompanying signature.
4) The envelope should be labeled “NCCD Supervisor
Area 1 Nomination Petition” to ensure the date &
time stamp and presented to Ms. Elizabeth Hook of
the New Castle Conservation District, 2430 Old County
Road, Newark, Delaware 19702, on, or before
4:00 p.m. (EST) Wednesday, November 19, 2025.
