On October 27, 2025, the Florida Department of Transportation
(FDOT), pursuant to 23 U.S.C. § 327 and a Memorandum of
Understanding dated May 26, 2022, and executed by the Federal
Highway Administration and FDOT, granted Location and Design
Concept Acceptance for the CR 510 Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study from 58th Avenue to East of SR 5/US-1.

This project consists of the partial grade separation of CR 510 over the FEC Railway and over the SR 5/US-1 intersection. The proposed improvements will widen CR 510 from two to four lanes by providing two lanes at-grade (one in each direction) and two lanes over the railway and over the SR 5/US-1 intersection (one in each direction). All turning movements at the SR 5/US-1 intersection are provided using the at-grade lanes, and non-stop through movements are provided using the grade separated lanes. This project will provide bicycle lanes along CR 510, a sidewalk along the north side of the roadway, and a shared use path along the south side of the roadway. The bicycle lanes, sidewalk, and shared use path will remain at grade.

This project will now proceed to the next phase of development.
