NOTICE OF SALE OF SURPLUS REAL ESTATE
PURSUANT TO NC GEN. STAT. §160A-269
The Cumberland County ABC Board has received an offer to purchase a former ABC store consisting of 200 and 211 Spring Avenue, Spring Lake, NC for $425,000 with an initial deposit of $21,250. The property will be sold to the highest offeror pursuant to the terms of the proposed contract with the initial offeror on file with the Cumberland County ABC Board. The proposed contract is an “AS-IS” cash sale with a 60-day due diligence period with up to 30 days thereafter to close. Additional details of the proposed contract by the initial offeror and assistance in inspecting the property can be obtained by contacting the Cumberland County ABC Board as shown below.
Any person wishing to upset the initial offer pursuant to the terms of the proposed contract must submit a written sealed bid to the Cumberland County ABC Board office at 1705 Owen Drive, Fayetteville NC within 10 days of this notice being published. Any person may raise the bid by not less than 10% of the first $1000 and 5% percent of the remainder. The bid must be accompanied by an upset bid deposit of 5% of the amount of the increased bid in cash or certified bank check. If an upset bid is received, the advertisement will be repeated until no further qualifying bids are received.
Any upset bid submitted is subject to the terms set forth in the existing proposed contract. The Cumberland County ABC Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
