The house was placarded Unfit for Human Habitation by a building inspector on October 16, 2025. On or about October 21, 2025, I received a written certification from the insurer of this property. I am in the process of determining whether to issue a raze order for the affected property. By this Notice, please know that materials may be submitted to me and that any materials received by me in the next 30 days will be accepted and considered in assisting me in establishing the extent of the damage or reasonable cost of repairs to the insured dwelling. Materials that may be accepted and considered are limited to damage estimates, evaluations of the cost of repairs, and the results of inspections of the property. When considering the materials submitted, I will consider the qualifications, expertise, and experience of the person that submitted the materials. If the insurer determines that the insured dwelling is wholly destroyed, pursuant to Wis. Stat. §66.0413(5)(b)3, the insurer shall notify me of this determination.
