DESERT SANDS UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act Annual Notice to Qualified Contractors The Desert Sands Unified School District has elected to become subject to the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA). In accordance with Public Contract Code §22034, the District invites all licensed contractors, who are interested in performing public works construction and/or repair projects up to an estimated $220,000.00 to register their firm for inclusion on a list of qualified bidders for the 2026 calendar year. California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) registration for the Desert Sands Unified School District can be completed by visiting the Desert Sands Unified School District Purchasing Services Webpage, Quick Links, CUPCCAA Registration at https://bit.ly/4obecF8 with approved registrations expiring each December 31st. All currently approved contractors are required to submit a new application for the 2026 calendar year. Contractors who do not complete CUPCCAA registration for the upcoming year may risk not being notified of all potential bidding opportunities. This electronic registration is mandatory for CUPCCAA projects for the Desert Sands Unified School District and shall require the following information: ? Contractor Name, mailing address, phone number and fax number ? Contact name and contact email address ? Type of work contractor is interested in and licensed to perform ? Contractors license class and license number with expiration date ? Department of Industrial Relations Registration Number with expiration date Contractors will be required to provide evidence of Commercial General Liability and Automobile Liability insurance and evidence of the ability to provide Payment and Performance Bonds, accordingly. The District may create a new licensed contractors list effective January 1st of each year. The list may include any contractors the District desires, but shall include, at a minimum, all licensed contractors who have properly provided the District with the required information during the calendar year in which the list is valid, or during November or December of the prior year. Initial registration deadline is December 31, 2025; however, registration is ongoing throughout the calendar year.
