PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE FOR
COMMENTS ON THE TOWN OF DOVER 2026 PRELIMINARY TOWN BUDGET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Preliminary Budget for the Town of Dover, Dutchess County, New York for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026 will be on file starting October 31, 2025 in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Dover located at 126 East Duncan Hill Road, Dover Plains, New York, where it will be available for inspection by any interested person during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. It is also be available on the Town of Dover’s website at www.doverny.us.
FURTHER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Town Board will hold a public hearing to review the Preliminary Budget for 2026 at the Town Hall, 126 East Duncan Hill Road, Dover Plains, New York at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 or as soon thereafter as possible at Dover Town Hall, 126 East Duncan Hill Rd., Dover Plains, NY.
FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, pursuant to Section #108 of the Town Law the proposed salaries of the following Town Officials are hereby specified as follows:
Town Supervisor - $28,000
Town Councilman (4) each - $7,786
Town Clerk - $45,000
Town Justice (2) each- $28,940
Highway Superintendent - $78,844
Tax Collector - $14,483.
ALL INTERESTED persons and citizens are invited to attend.
