OCTOBER BUDGET HEARING & GENERAL SESSION KEWAUNEE COUNTY ADMINISTRATION CENTER OCTOBER 21, 2025 The Kewaunee County Budget Public Hearing was called to order by Chairman Olson at 6:00 p.m. Chairman Olson asked for oral or written comments on the proposed 2026 Budget for Kewaunee County from Clerk, Jamie Annoye. She responded that she had not received comments. Chairman Olson then opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wanted to comment on the proposed 2026 Budget – No Comments, Chairman Olson asked three more times if anyone else wanted to speak, hearing none, the public hearing was closed.The public hearing closed at 6:00 p.m. The meeting of the Kewaunee County Board of Supervisors was called to order by Chairman Olson, on October 21, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Pledge of Allegiance & prayer. Roll Call: Supervisors Agamaite, Augustian, Baker, Browne, Guilette, Jahnke, Kroll, Lukes, Olson, Ortlieb (arrived at 6:02 p.m.), Paape, Patrycia, Romdenne, Shelton, Swagel, Teske, Vollenweider and Zeitler (18) were present. Supervisors Kinnard and Lazansky (2) were excused. Approval of the County Board agenda & previous minutes. Citizens Input, Appointment-Veteran's Service Commission, Reports, Pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 19.85(1)(g), the Board will enter into closed session at 6:33 p.m. to confer with Kewaunee County Corporation Counsel who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation the county is likely to become involved in. Supervisors Vollenweider moved and Paape seconded that the Board re-convene into open session at 7:23 p.m. RESOLUTION NO. 19-10-2025 - ACCEPTING THE AWARD OF A GRANT RESOLUTION NO. 20-10-2025 - APPROVIING CHANGES TO THE RURAL FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM RESOLUTION NO. 21-10-2025 - PURCHASE HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT-Tar Kettle RESOLUTION NO. 22-10-2025 - PURCHASE HIGHWAY EQUIPMENT-Compactor with Sheepsfoot Shell RESOLUTION NO. 23-10-2025 - ACCEPTING BOATING FACILITIES GRANT-SHEA'S LAKE CO. PARK BOAT LAUNCH RESOLUTION NO. 24-10-2025 - APPROVING 2026-28 KEWAUNEE CO. BOARD COMPENSATION & TRAVEL POLICY RESOLUTION NO. 25-10-2025 - SUPPORT OF STATE INVESTMENT FOR INCOME MAINTENANCE ADMINISTRATION RESOLUTION NO. 26-10-2025 - AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF OUTSIDE LEGAL COUNSEL Communications, Chairman's Comments, Supervisors Romdenne moved and Guilette seconded that the January County Board Meeting will be held on January 20, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Kewaunee County Administration Center. Motion carried. Supervisors Guilette moved and Baker seconded to adjourn. Motion carried.
