NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A PUBLIC HEARING will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the City of Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York, in the Common Council Chambers, City Hall, 3rd Floor, 62 Civic Center Plaza on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 6:00 PM or as soon thereafter as the matter is reached on the agenda on the following matter:
47 SOUTH GRAND AVENUE: AREA VARIANCES
Application for area variances relative to the construction of a carport and two pergolas on the property at 47 South Grand Avenue, requiring variances of Section 19-2.1(3)(g) to allow accessory structures closer than 5 feet to the property line. At the public hearing, the Zoning Board of Appeals will hear all persons in support of and in opposition to the application. Allapplication materials will be available for public review through the City's website (the link is: https://cityofpoughkeepsie.com/381/Agendas-Minutes), or at the City Development Department, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 62 Civic Center Plaza, Poughkeepsie, NY, by appointment. Written comments may be emailed to the Board Administrative Assistant, Lori Garcia, LGarcia@cityofpoughkeepsie.com, mailed, hand delivered, or faxed to (845) 451-4006 no later than 4:00 pm on the day of the meeting. Members of the public will also be provided the opportunity to give verbal comments during the schedule public hearing. It is strongly recommended that those wishing to speak during the meeting submit notice and/or written comments to Board Administrative Assistant, Lori Garcia, by the deadline listed above.
