Marshfield, WI – Marshfield Clinic Health System ("Marshfield") announces a data incident that may have affected a limited number of individuals' information. Around August 27, 2025, Marshfield became aware of unusual activity in certain employee email accounts and immediately began an investigation. The investigation determined there was unauthorized access to the accounts between August 26, 2025, and August 27, 2025. Therefore, Marshfield conducted a comprehensive review of the information potentially affected. The type of information varied by individual but may include name and one or more of the following: address, phone number, date of birth, insurance ID number, medical record number, dates of service, treatment/diagnosis information, lab results, and medications. In an abundance of caution, Marshfield is offering potentially affected individuals access to credit monitoring and identity protection services. For more information or to enroll in these services, individuals should contact the organization's assistance line at 1-833-699-0275, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM CT, excluding holidays. Individuals are encouraged to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by reviewing credit reports/account statements and explanation of benefits forms for suspicious activity and to detect errors.
