PUBLIC HEARING   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the preliminary budget for the Town of Independence for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026 has been completed and filed in the office of the Town Clerk in the Town Hall, 887 Marietta Ave., Whitesville, New York for inspection during regular business hours. FURTHER NOTICE is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Independence will meet and review said preliminary budget and hold a public hearing at the Town Hall on November 10th, 2025 at 6:00 p.m., and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against the preliminary budget as compiled or against any item therein contained. PURSUANT TO SECTION 113 of the Town Law the proposed salaries of the following officials are hereby specified as follows: Supervisor $5,600.00; Assessor $7,795.00; Councilmen (4 @ $1,117.50) $4,470.00; Superintendent of Highways $59,000.00; Town Clerk $9,830.00; Justice $5,906.00; Tax Collector $1,825.00.   Mary G.
