NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
The Zoning Hearing Board of the Borough of Stroudsburg will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, beginning at 4:30 p.m., in the Borough’s meeting room at 700 Sarah Street, 2nd Floor, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 to consider the application of George W. Westervelt, Jr. for a variance from § 27-405 and Attachment 1 (Table of Nonresidential District Use Requirements) of the Borough’s Zoning Ordinance, which prohibits exclusively residential uses in the Central Business Commercial (C-2) zoning district. Applicant wants to convert the use from office/professional to exclusively residential.
George W. Westervelt, Jr. is the owner of record of the subject property, which is located at 706 Monroe Street, in the Borough of Stroudsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania, in the Central Business Commercial (C-2) zoning district. The property is also identified as Parcel ID No. 18-3.1.11.6 and Map No. 18-7300-07-59-1130.
The complete application is available for inspection (without charge) or copying (for actual copying costs) at the Borough’s office at the address listed above on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Anyone may attend the hearing and those who are affected and have legal standing may participate in the proceedings.
