Middletown Planning Board PUBLIC HEARING Monday, November 24, 2025, 6:00 P.M. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, TOWN HALL 350 East Main Road, Middletown, RI  Proposed Amendments to the Middletown RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING THE SUBDIVISION AND DEVELOPMENT OF LAND  The Middletown Planning Board will hold a public hearing during a special meeting on November 24, 2025 at 6:00PM to consider adopting proposed amendments as follows:  Consideration of adoption of proposed amendments to the Middletown Rules and Regulations Regarding the Subdivision and Development of Land necessary to address amendments to state law passed in the 2025 session of the RI General Assembly, including amendments to Article 2 regarding definitions; sections 402, 403, 404, 406 and 407 regarding subdivision and land development application review procedures; and section 805 regarding appeal procedures, and provide a recommendation to the Town Council for ratification of said amendments.  In addition to the formal public hearing on proposed amendments to regulations sections noted above, during this meeting the Planning Board will also discuss and consider recommendations to the Town Council on proposed amendments to the Middletown Zoning Ordinance, Town Code Chapter 152, sections 311, 323, 728, 805, 906, and Article 17 necessary to address changes to state law.  The proposed amendments may be viewed in the Town Planner’s office at the Middletown Town Hall, 350 East Main Road, Monday-Friday, 8am-3pm, and on the Planning Department web page: https://middletownri.gov/1105/Amendments-to-address-2025-RI-General-As  The amendments may be altered or revised prior to the close of the public hearing without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed during the public hearing.  This meeting location is accessible to the handicapped.
