Notice of Public Meeting The Appoquinimink School District’s, Board of Education will hold the regularly scheduled public meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at its Board Room located in the Marion Proffitt Training Center, 118 S. Sixth St., Odessa, DE 19730. One of the items for discussion and action is considering a Waiver of Class Size as provided by Title 14, 1705(A) restricting the number of students assigned to core academic subjects (English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies) in grades kindergarten through three (K-3) to a teacher/student ratio of one to twenty-two (1-22) as of the last student day in October. The Board will consider waiving specific classrooms where this ratio is exceeded for these K-3 classrooms. Written comments can be mailed or submitted up to the start of the meeting on November 18, 2024. Oral comments will be limited to 3 minutes and must focus on the topic of Waiver. Citizens must notify the Board Secretary at least 24 hours prior to the meeting and submit their name, should they request to speak at the public meeting.
