Interviews of Candidates for School Board C. Hirsbrunner, Superintendent explained the process that will be used for the candidate interview, including the question rotation order. Candidate order was as follows: Elizabeth Potter-Nelson, David Verhage, Miguelgabriel Campos, Kristina Smith, Joseph Schauer, Chris Scott, Christina Lorge, Jason D'Acchioli Candidates were asked the following questions after a 2 minute opening statement: 1. What unique value will you bring as a member of the School Board? 2. How has your background and experience prepared you to be effective in an environment that upholds our strategic goal to increase student achievement and growth in English Language Arts and Mathematics, with an intentional focus on accelerating growth for student groups currently performing below expectations? 3. List the top two (2) issues you feel the district is facing. 4. Share an experience where you strongly disagreed with a decision made by a group you were a member of. How did you handle it moving forward? 5. Is there a particular issue that motivates you to serve on the Board? 6. If you are appointed to the school board is it your intention to run for your seat in the April 2026 election? At the conclusion of the 2 minute closing statements, C. Hirsbrunner thanked the candidates for their interest in serving on the School Board. B. Selection of Candidate M. Erler explained the voting process to the Board Members including that voting will continue in rounds until a single candidate receives 5 total votes.
