NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SPECIALASSESSMENT IMPROVEMENTS
TO THE OWNERS OF OR PERSONS WHO CLAIM AN INTEREST IN THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED PROPERTY: Parcels of land within the Township of Burtchville located in Sheldon Beach Subdivision with frontage on the following roads:
a. Berry Drive from the east line of M-25 to the west line of Wildrose Lane.
b. Blue Water Drive from the east line of M-25 to the west line of Wildrose Lane.
C. Clyde Drive from the east line of M-25 to the west line of Wildrose Lane.
d. Wildrose Lane from the south line of Wilkes Drive to the North line of Metcalf Road Drive.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the provisions of Act 188, Public Acts of Michigan, 1954, as amended, the Township Board of the Township of Burtchville, on petition of property owners of land constituting more than fifty (50%) of the frontage in the proposed special assessment district, has given notice of its intention to create a special assessment district to find improvements generally described as the removal and repaving of the streets identified in items a-d above.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board has tentatively declared its intention to make such improvement and tentatively designated the above-described premises as a special assessment district against which the cost of said improvements is to be assessed
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Township Board has caused to be prepared plans showing the improvements, the location thereof and an estimate of the cost thereof which have been filed with the office of the Township Clerk, 4000 Burtch Road, Lakeport, Michigan, 48059, for public examination.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Township Board will meet on December 1 , 2025 at 7:00 0'clock p.m., at the Township Hall, 4000 Burtch Road, Lakeport, Michigan, 48059 for the purpose of hearing any objections to the petition, the proposed improvements, and to the proposed special assessment district, therefore.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that appearance and protest at a subsequent hearing to be held for the purpose of reviewing a special assessment roll is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the Michigan Tax Tribunal if an appeal is desired. Protest may be made in person at this meeting by the owner or party in interest or his or her designated agent. An owner or person claiming an interest may also file his or her appearance and protest by letter delivered to the Township Clerk to be received prior to the public hearing on the special assessment roll, in which case appearance at that meeting is not required. The property owner or any person having an interest in

the property subject to the proposed special assessment may file a written appeal of the special assessment with the State Tax Tribunal within thirty-five (35) days after confirmation of the special assessment roll but only if that special assessment was protested at the public hearing on the special assessment roll.
