NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING On October 28, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners of Doña Ana County (BOCC) directed that a public hearing be conducted at their Regular Meeting on December 9, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. on the question of whether to adopt Amendment No. 1 to the Doña Ana Country Lodger’s Tax. The Public hearing will be held at the Doña Ana County Government Center located at 845 N. Motel Blvd., Las Cruces, New Mexico. GENERAL SUMMARY: The purpose of Amendment No 1 to the Lodger’s Tax Ordinance is to clarify certain sections of the Ordinance that are used for the management of a 5% Lodgers’ Tax on hotels and short-term rentals to provide revenues for the purpose of advertising, publicizing and promoting County tourist-related attractions, facilities and events and to acquire, establish and operate tourist related facilities, attractions or transportation systems. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for inspection at the Office of the County Clerk, Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd, Las Cruces, New Mexico during regular business hours. The public may attend the Doña Ana County Board of County Commissioners meeting via livestream on https://www.donaanacounty.org.
