REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Advanced In-Dispenser Fleet Fueling Control System Marathon County
Facilities and Capital Management is requesting proposals from qualified firms for a new advance in-dispenser fleet fueling control systems for the Highway department locations at Abbottsford, Stratford, Hatley, Mosinee and Wausau Wisconsin locations. The fuel systems at each are either Diesel or a combination of Diesel and Unleaded Gas. The fleet fueling control system at the Wausau and Mosinee locations will be relocated to the new highway shop facility in Kronenwetter when the new highway shop is completed in early 2028.
Scope of Work
The scope of work will consist of the removal of the existing fuel systems at the noted locations, disposal of the existing system, and a turnkey installation for the new fuel system to include all required work necessary for the system to be functional upon completion of the installation to include owner training. The system will be a Wayne iX Fleet Fuel Control System or approved equal. Time and Place for Receiving Proposals: Responses to the RFP are due in the Department of Facilities and Capital Management Office by December 9 th , 2025, NO LATER THAN 10:00AM. Refer to the proposal submission requirements found elsewhere in this document. Emailed proposals will be an acceptable form of submission, facilities.capital@marathoncounty.gov
Pre-Proposal Meeting: A MANDATORY pre-proposal meeting will be held on December 1 st , 2025, at 1:00PM, Highway Dept. Conference Room, 1430 West Street, Wausau WI 54401 for the purpose of reviewing the project requirements and fielding any questions about the RFP. This meeting will provide more information on the sites, and answer questions for vendors.
Reservations: Marathon County reserves the right to reject in whole or in part any and all proposals, to waive any informality, and to accept the proposal determined to be in the best interest of the County. This invitation may be canceled if determined to be in the best interest of the County.
Ethics: The General Code of the County of Marathon contains various procurement policies which are applicable to this proposed procurement. These include prohibitions against gratuities and kickbacks. This request is governed by the Marathon County Procurement Code, a copy of which is available at the County Clerk's office in the Courthouse.
