NOTICE INVITING CONTRACTORS FOR THE CALIFORNIA UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COST ACCOUNTING ACT (CUPCCAA)
INFORMAL BIDDING LIST FOR MONTEREY COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION
In accordance with the State of California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA), the Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE) invites all interested and qualified contractors to submit their company information for inclusion on the MCOE Informal Bidding Contractors List for public work projects for the 2026 calendar year (January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026).
The Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE) has adopted the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (CUPCCAA) Procedures under Public Contract Code §22000 et seq. Per California Public Contract Code 22032, any public work projects that is estimated to be between $75,000 and $220,000 is subject to the Informal Bidding Procedures set forth by the state of California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Commission.
All licensed contractors are encouraged to participate by completing the online registration form available on the MCOE website at https://www.montereycoe.org/divisions-services/finance-business-services/business-services-department/purchasing
All trade categories are subject to the Informal Bidding Procedures. Contractors requesting inclusion on the MCOE Informal Bidding Contractors List must hold a current and valid contractor’s license and an active DIR Registration No., both of which is subject to verification.
Contractors and subcontractors who bid on or perform work on public work projects must be in full compliance with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) requirements as outlined in Labor Code Sections 1725.5 and 1773.3 and must have a valid and active contractor’s license and DIR Registration No.
Contractors will be required to enter into an agreement with MCOE prior to performing any work on MCOE public work projects.
Interested contractors must provide the following information:
1. Company name, telephone number and email address for contact.
2. Mailing and email address for notices and proposals.
3. Class of contractor’s license(s) held and corresponding California State License Board (CSLB) license number.
4. DIR registration number(s).
5. Type(s) of work the contractor is interested in and currently licensed to perform, including but not limited to: General Engineering, General Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, HVAC, Earthwork, Pipelines, Floor Coverings, Carpentry, Concrete, Demolition, Excavation, Landscaping, Masonry, Painting, Roofing, etc.
