NOTIFICATION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE 2102 ASHLAND STREET, OSHKOSH, WINNEBAGO COUNTY, WISCONSIN THE CITY OF OSHKOSH, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, TO: Nathaniel Schroeder 2102 Ashland Street Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54901 The City of Oshkosh Inspection Services Division recently inspected the premises located at 2102 Ashland Street, Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin, parcel number 915-1635, more particularly described as follow (hereinafter "Property"): Lot Twelve (12) of Block Four (4) in FIRST ADDITION TO PLAT OF INTER URBAN LAND COMPANY, in the Fifteenth Ward, City of Oshkosh, Winnebago County, Wisconsin. Together with the West ½ of the vacated alley adjacent to and East of and between the extended Northerly and Southerly line of said Lot 12. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the authority set forth in Wis. Stat. § 66.0413(2)(b), the following defects make the Property a public nuisance: • Damaged Roof/Missing Shingles– In September 2024, the detached garage roof had visibly deteriorated and the shingles were damaged. On or about May 2025, the shingles were removed; however, no permit was obtained and replacement shingles were not installed. On or about July 2025, a large temporary tarp was placed over the unshingled roof, which remains the current condition. The roof is presently unshingled and in disrepair. You must remedy the defect listed above within thirty (30) days following the service of this Notice upon you by obtaining a building permit to repair the detached garage. All repairs shall be performed under that permit, with work commencing no later than six months (6) months after issuance, and completed within one (1) year of issuance. If you fail to remedy the defects within the time period specified, the City may apply to the Winnebago County Circuit Court for an order determining that the detached garage on the Property constitutes a public nuisance and seek an order to appoint a receiver for the Property and/or raze the detached garage on the Property.
