OFFICIAL NOTICE
NOTICE TO ELECTORS OF ADOPTION OF
INITIAL RESOLUTION AND OF PUBLIC HEARING
RELATING TO GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ISSUE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that on December 3, 2025, at a meeting of the School Board of the School District of South Milwaukee, the following resolution (the "Initial Resolution") was adopted pursuant to Section 67.05(6a)(a)2 of the Wisconsin Statutes:
INITIAL RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING
GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,000,000
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education of the School District of South Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin (the "District"), that there shall be issued, pursuant to Chapter 67 of the Wisconsin Statutes, General Obligation Bonds in an amount not to exceed $10,000,000 for the public purpose of paying the costs of the acquisition of a facility located at 3244 E. College Avenue in the City of Cudahy, Wisconsin (the "Facility") to be used by the District jointly with the Cudahy School District for the operation of their respective community programs and services under Section 120.13(19), and paying the costs of the renovation, remodeling, rebuilding, repair, and other improvements (including the acquisition and installation of fixtures and equipment) to render the Facility suitable for its intended purpose.
The District electors may inspect the Initial Resolution at the District offices during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that at the aforesaid meeting the School Board adopted the following resolution providing for a public hearing relating to the bond issue:
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Section 67.05(6a)(a)2.b. of the Wisconsin Statutes, a public hearing on the foregoing Resolution shall be held at 6:30 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 901 15th Avenue, South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 53172, which public hearing shall be for informational purposes only.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that Section 67.05(6a)(am)1. provides that if, within 30 days after the public hearing (January 16, 2026), a petition is filed with the school district clerk for a referendum on the resolution signed by at least 7,500 electors of the school district or at least 20 percent of the school district electors, whichever is less, the resolution shall not be effective unless adopted by a majority of the school district electors voting at a referendum. For purposes of the foregoing Initial Resolution, such petition must be signed by not less than 1,700 school district electors and filed in the offices of the District Clerk located at 901 15th Avenue, South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, not later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026.
