All bids will be downloaded and publicly read aloud during a virtual public bid opening that will be held at the day and time of the bid closing. All plan holders will receive information via Quest on how to join the virtual meeting prior to the bid opening. The Project includes the following Work: This project is to provide storm sewer, water main, sanitary lateral and roadway improvements on Polk Street from Thurke Avenue to Chapman Avenue for the Village of North Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. This work includes but isn't limited to storm sewer, watermain, and sanitary lateral replacement, unclassified excavation, base construction, curb and gutter, concrete driveways, concrete sidewalks, asphalt paving, and restoration. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
