Interview and Selection of Applicant to Fill Vacant District 5 Aldermanic Seat.
Motion by Rasmussen, seconded by Martens, to allow a video to be played as a candidate introduces themselves. Motion failed 1-9.
Motion by Lukens, seconded by Watson, to remove the applicant who receives the fewest amount of votes after the first round of voting if there is no majority. Motion passed 9-1.
Griner was appointed as for District 5 by a vote of 6-4 and was sworn in with the Oath of Office by City Clerk Kaitlyn Bernarde, after a vote of 5-3-2 in the first round.

Motion by Martens, seconded by Neal, to to go into Closed Session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute §19.85(1)9f) to consider financial, medical, social or personal histories or disciplinary data of specific persons, preliminary consideration of specific personnel problems or the investigation of charges against specific persons except where par. (b) applies which, if discussed in public, would be likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of any person referred to in such histories or data, or involved in such problems or investigations, specifically to discuss an investigation into allegations against a City of Wausau official. Motion passed 11-0.
