PUBLIC NOTICE
Please take notice that Lidl U.S. Operations, LLC ("Applicant") has filed an application for development with the Borough of Somerdale Planning and Zoning Board ("Board") regarding real property located at the northeast corner of Evergreen Avenue and White Horse Pike, also designated as block 23, lots 4.01 and 11 on the municipal tax map. The Board granted preliminary and final major site plan approval of a 29,136 s.f. Lidl grocery store on December 18, 2019. That approval was memorialized in Resolution No. 2020-07. The Applicant now returns to the Board seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval to construct a 23,580 s.f. Lidl grocery store with parking and other associated site improvements, along with a 3,000 s.f. fast food restaurant with one drive-thru lane.
The Applicant does not require any known variances in connection with this application.
The Applicant also requests any variances, submission waivers, exceptions, design waivers, de minimis exceptions, interpretations, modifications of conditions of prior approvals, continuation of any preexisting non-conforming conditions, conditional use approval, other approvals reflected on the plans (as same may be further amended or revised from time to time without further notice) as may be determined to be necessary during the review and processing of the application by the Board and its professional staff, and permits requested or required by the Board at the public hearing.
This application shall be considered by the Board at a public hearing on December 23, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in-person in the Somerdale Borough Hall, 105 Kennedy Boulevard, Somerdale, New Jersey 08083, at which time you may appear either in person or through an attorney and present any objection that you may have to the granting of this application. A copy of the application and supporting documentation is on file in the Board's offices located at 105 Kennedy Boulevard, Somerdale, New Jersey and is available for public inspection during regular business days and hours. It is recommended that any interested party contact the Borough of Somerdale Planning and Zoning Board Secretary, Meegan Wadleigh, either by telephone at (856) 783- 6320 extension 1500 or by e-mail at mwadleigh@somerdale-nj.com regarding questions that you may have about this application. The application may be adjourned to another date without further notice to you and you are advised to contact the Board office in order to confirm the date and time of the hearing.
