Notice of Public Hearing
Notice is hereby given that the Plan Commission for the Town of Daleville, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on January 13, 2026, at 6:00 P.M., in the new Daleville Town Hall Building located at 14421 W Main St, Daleville, IN 47334. The purpose of the public hearing is regarding amendments to the Town Zoning Ordinance as follows:
1. Residential Lighting Ordinance: An ordinance to regulate exterior lighting in residential areas of Daleville to minimize light pollution and light trespass onto neighboring properties, among other changes.
2. Establishing property maintenance standards for the commercial corridor along SR 67-An ordinance to establish property maintenance standards for all properties within the commercial corridor of SR 67 in the Town of Daleville, within 1 mile of Interstate 69 exit to include foliage maintenance, debris removal, exterior keep up, sidewalk maintenance and other standards.
3. Complete copies of the proposed ordinances are available in the office of the Town Clerk Treasurer, 14421 W. Main St., Daleville, IN during normal business hours.
Public comments may be provided during the public hearing and written comments may be submitted to the above-referenced address during, or prior to, the public hearing. Following the public hearing, the Town Plan Commission and sent to the Clerk Treasurer's Office as noted above. The Plan Commission will conduct the first reading and public hearing on the proposed ordinances. At the conclusion of the public hearing and consideration by the Plan Commission, the Plan Commission will make a recommendation to the Town Council of either "favorable"; "unfavorable" or "no recommendation". The Town Council will consider adoption at their meeting in February 2026.
