Declaration of Exempt Surplus Land and Notice of Intention to Convey
Fee Simple Interest in Real Property Located in the City of Cathedral City,
County of Riverside, California, Assessor's Parcel
Number 687-084-013 by Grant Deed to
Terry Remitz, Trustee of the Terry Remitz Revocable Trust dated 11/1/2018
WHEREAS, the County of Riverside, a political subdivision of the State of California ("County"), is the owner of certain real property which consists of approximately 0.02 acres of improved concrete paved driveway approach in the City of Cathedral, County of Riverside, State of California, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number 687-084-013 (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the County deems the Property as no longer required for County uses or purposes; and
WHEREAS, the Property is exempt surplus land under the Surplus Land Act ("SLA") pursuant to California Government Code Section 54221(f)(1)(E) because the Property is a former street, right of way, or easement and will be conveyed to the adjacent property owner; and
WHEREAS, the County desires to transfer the Property to adjacent owner Terry Remitz, Trustee of the Terry Remitz Revocable Trust dated 11/1/2018 ("Buyer''); and
WHEREAS, the parties concur that it would be in both parties best interest to transfer ownership of the Property to the individual ; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED and NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside, California, in regular session assembled on December 9, 2025, the County of Riverside declares the Property exempt surplus land pursuant to California Government Code Section 54221(f)(1)(E) because the Property is former street, right of way, or easement and being sold to an adjacent property owner, and intends to convey the Property to Buyer on or after January 13, 2026, by Grant Deed, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board has evaluated and determined that the Property intended to be conveyed to the Buyer is no longer necessary to be retained for the County's uses and purposes.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED, pursuant to the Surplus Land Act Guidelines, Article IV, Section 400(e), the Director of Facilities Management, or designee is hereby directed to provide a written copy of this resolution declaring the Property exempt surplus land to the California Department of Housing and Community Development at least thirty (30) days prior to County's disposition of the Property;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is directed to give notice hereof as provided in Section 6063 of the Government Code.

LOT 127 OF SUNAIR TRACT NO. 3, IN THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL, COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AS SHOWN BY MAP ON FILE IN BOOK 30, PAGES 15 AND 16 OF MAPS, RIVERSIDE COUNTY RECORDS, LYING WITH ASSESSORS PARCEL NO. 687-084-013, BEING A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY.
