Regular Meeting
November 17, 2025
The meeting was called to order by President Schneider at 6:30 p.m.
Public notice of the meeting was given in accordance with Wisconsin's Open Meeting Law contained in the Wisconsin Statutes, Subchapter V of Chapter 19.
Present: Schneider, Ziemer, Castillo, Van Aacken, Lodzinski, Streblow, Schaffner
Motion by Streblow, seconded by Schaffner, resolved to approve the October 20, 2025, Regular Meeting minutes, the November 3, 2025, Board Study Session minutes and the November 5, 2025, Special Meeting minutes, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Silver Spring Intermediate School presented a video highlighting school activities.
There were five citizens interested in addressing the Board of Education.
Motion by Van Aacken, seconded by Streblow, resolved to approve the agenda as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Student Board Representatives from Templeton Middle School were present to update the Board regarding activities at Templeton Middle School.
Dr. Mielke highlighted Templeton Middle School students visit to Washington DC and participation in the wreath-laying ceremony.
Dr. Mielke shared that 2025 Wisconsin Act 42 was enacted into law.
No school for students November 26-December 1. December 1 is a Staff Inservice Day.
The next Super Connected Meeting is scheduled for December 11, 2025.
The School Board is scheduled to meet next on December 15, 2025.
Motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski resolved to approve the resignations of: Cassandra DeLaurier: Educational Support – Special Services at Silver Spring Intermediate School. Effective December 19, 2025; Melissa Petrie: Educational Support – Instructional and Supervision at Marcy Elementary School. Effective November 20, 2025; Megan Pritchard: Associate Kitchen Employee at Hamilton High School. Effective November 12, 2025, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the appointments of: Kate Garman: Educational Support – Literacy Interventionist at Maple Avenue Elementary School. Effective November 3, 2025; Elexis Payton: Educational Support – Special Services at Woodside Elementary School. Effective November 4, 2025; Tanya Cobb: Educational Support – Special Services at Woodside Elementary School. Effective November 3, 2025; Katelyn Schafer: Educational Support – Special Services at Templeton Middle School. Effective November 10, 2025; Charles Quast: Fitness Education – Replacement at Woodside Elementary School. Effective January 5, 2026; Megan Prouty: Educational Support – Instructional and Supervision at Willow Springs Learning Center. Effective November 20, 2025, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Motion by Schaffner, seconded by Streblow, resolved to approve the bill payments, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Ms. Husslein provided a financial update. This was an informational item, and no action
was necessary.
Motion by Streblow, seconded by Schaffner, resolved to approve the Budget Development Calendar for 2026-27 school year, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Motion by Streblow, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the course addition for Yearbook at Hamilton High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year, as presented. Voice vote. (Aye-6, Abstain-1 (Lodzinski)) Motion carried.
Motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the course modifications for Advanced Placement Courses at Hamilton High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year, for one school year. Voice vote. (Aye-0, Nay-7) Motion failed.
Motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve course modifications for Advanced Placement courses for 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the removal of grade requirements from Course Prerequisites at Hamilton High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year. Voice vote. (Aye-0, Nay-7) Motion failed.
Amended motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the update of prerequisite grade requirements to a C- at Hamilton High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Amended motion by Streblow, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the course modifications and additions for Fitness Education grade 10 at Hamilton High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the course modifications for Mathematics at Hamilton High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Motion by Ziemer, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the course modifications for Social Studies at Hamilton High School beginning in the 2026-27 school year, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Motion by Streblow, seconded by Lodzinski, resolved to approve the Section 504 Program Procedures Report, as presented. Voice vote. Motion carried.
Mr. Roubik updated the Board regarding 2026-27 open enrollment planning including enrollment projections. This was an informational item, and no action was necessary.
Mr. Schneider presented the 2025-26 School Board Election Calendar. This was an informational item, and no action was necessary.

Motion by Lodzinski, seconded by Streblow, resolved to Adjourn Open Meeting and Move to Closed Session Pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes 19.85 (1) (c) For the Purpose of Discussing Performance-Related Data of the Superintendent (Quarterly Review), as presented. Roll Call Vote. Yes-7; No-0. Motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 8:49 p.m.
