ORDINANCE S-52462 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO RETROACTIVELY APPLY FOR, ACCEPT, AND ENTER INTO A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO ACCEPT AND THE CITY CONTROLLER TO DISBURSE FUNDS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHOENIX as follows: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or designee, is authorized to retroactively apply for, accept, and enter into an agreement with the Bureau of Justice Assistance for the Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative grant program for the Police Department. The total funding amount will not exceed two million dollars ($2,000,000). The contract term will be five years from the date of the approved award. SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is authorized to accept, and the City Controller is authorized to disburse funds for the purposes of this ordinance.
