ORDINANCE S-52469
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE S-49878 TO ADD FEDERAL UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN PROGRAM FUNDS TO EXPAND FAMILY EMERGENCY SHELTER FACILITIES; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY CONTROLLER TO DISBURSE FUNDS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHOENIX as follows:
SECTION 1. Ordinance S-49878 is amended to add up to two million dollars ($2,000,000) in federal United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) HOME Investment Partnerships American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) funds to be awarded to Salvation Army, or a City-approved nominee, to expand family emergency shelter facilities. The term of the contract will begin around January 2026 and run for a minimum of fifteen (15) years after expansion completion.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Manager’s designee, is authorized to take all actions and execute all documents to effectuate the purposes of Section 1.
SECTION 3. The City Controller is authorized to disburse all funds for the purposes of this ordinance.
