NOTICE TO PROPERTY OWNERS Notice is hereby given that there is now on file for public inspection in the office of the Council of the City of Urbandale, State of Iowa, a proposed Resolution of Necessity, an estimate of costs and plat and schedule showing the amounts proposed to be assessed against each lot and the valuation thereof within District as approved by the Council of the City of Urbandale, State of Iowa, for a street, storm sewer, sidewalk and other improvements, designated as the 142nd Street Paving Improvements - Meredith Drive to Waterford Road, of the types and in the location as follows: 142nd Street Vertical Centerline Description of Improvements Beginning at Station 1575+81.57 at an elevation of 231.89, thence north 598.43 feet @ 1.99% to station 1581+50.00 at an elevation of 243.02, which is the PI station of a 300 foot crest vertical curve; thence north 385.00 feet @ -1.80% to station 1585+35.00 at an elevation of 236.09, which is the PI station of a 250 foot sag vertical curve; thence north 255 feet @ -0.60% to station 1587+90.00 at an elevation of 234.56, which is the PI station of a 250 foot sag vertical curve; thence north 1060 feet @ 0.50% to station 1598+50.00 at an elevation of 239.86, which is the PI station of a 150 foot crest vertical curve; thence north 900 feet at -0.65% to station 1607+50.00 at an elevation of 234.01, which is the PI station of a 150 foot sag vertical curve; thence north 625 feet @ 0.56% to station 1613+75.00 at an elevation of 237.51, which is the PI station of a 150 foot sag vertical curve; thence north 550 feet @ -1.00% to station 1619+25.00 at an elevation of 232.03, which is the PI station of a 200 foot sag vertical curve; thence north 4.44 feet @1.00% to station 1620+29.44 at an elevation of 233.07, thence north 25.00 feet @1.50% to station 1620+54.44 at an elevation of 233.44, thence north 15.00 feet @ 0.00% to station 1620+69.44 at an elevation of 233.44, thence north 94.26 @ -1.00% to STA 1621+63.70 at an elevation 232.47 which is a point on a vertical curve with PI station 1622+00.00 with an elevation of 232.38 of a 99.99 foot sag vertical curve. Waterford Road Vertical Centerline Description of Improvements Beginning at Station 55+13.63 at an elevation of 232.32, thence east 223.39 feet @ 0.50% to station 57+37.02 at an elevation of 233.44 which is the end of the project. That the proposed District to be benefited and subject to assessment for the cost of such improvements is described as follows: 142nd Street Assessment Area The limits for assessments shall be that area lying within three hundred feet on each side of the Right of Way of the area described as improvements, located in the City of Urbandale Corporate Limits. The assessment area begins at Station 1575+81.57 and follows the centerline description to station 1261+63.70. Waterford Road Assessment Area The limits for assessments shall be that area lying within three hundred feet on the north side of Meredith Drive Right of Way of the area described as improvements, located in the City of Urbandale Corporate Limits. The assessment area begins at Station 55+13.63 and follows the centerline description to station 57+37.02. The Council will meet at 5:30 P.M., on the 6th day of January, 2026, at the Council Chambers, City Hall, 3600 - 86th Street, Urbandale, Iowa, at which time the owners of property subject to assessment for the proposed improvements, or any other person having an interest in the matter may appear and be heard for or against the making of the improvement, the boundaries of the District, the cost, the assessment against any lot, tract or parcel of land, or the final adoption of a Resolution of Necessity. A property owner will be deemed to have waived all objections unless at the time of Hearing he has filed objections with the Clerk.
