BY THE CITY OF WEST LAFAYETTE
Notice is hereby given that on January 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. the Board of Public Work and Safety of the City of West Lafayette, Indiana, will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers of Margerum City Hall, 222 N. Chauncey Avenue, West Lafayette, Indiana on the lease of certain real estate by the City of West Lafayette to the highest bidder in compliance with Indiana State Law. The real estate to be leased is located on Parcel 79-03-17-200-012.000-017 on 75 East in West Lafayette, Indiana:

Sixteen (16) acres off of the South end of the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section Seventeen (17), Township Twenty-four (24) North, Range Four (4) West, Tippecanoe Township, Tippecanoe County, Indiana, being more completely described as follows, to-wit:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 17-24-4; thence South 0°10’27’ West along the West line of said Quarter a distance of 1317.25 feet to the Southwest Corner of the Northwest Quarter of said Quarter and the point of beginning of the herein described tract; thence South 87°26’53” East along the South line of said Quarter Quarter a distance of 1340.61 feet to the Southeast Corner of said Quarter Quarter; thence North 0°12’00” East along the East line of said Quarter Quarter a distance of 520.28 feet to a railroad spike; thence North 87°26’53” West parallel with said South line a distance of 1340.85 feet to a re-bar on said West line; thence South 0°10’27” West along said West line a distance of 520.29 feet to the point of beginning, containing 16.000 acres.

The lease amount for the real estate shall be no less than the appraised fair rental value of the real estate, which is $290 per acre. This will be a single-year lease.
