Opportunity to Comment on the
Lubbock Metropolitan Planning Organization’s:
Draft FY 2027–2030 Transportation Improvement Program
The public is invited to review and comment on the Draft FY 2027–2030 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), which identifies proposed federally funded roadway and transit projects within the Lubbock metropolitan planning area. Residents living within the LMPO metropolitan area boundary, are encouraged to review the draft project list and provide comments.
Written comments will be received from December 21, 2025 until January 19, 2026 at 5;00 p.m.
Public forums will be held at the following dates, times, and locations:
• December 22, 2025, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Citibus Downtown Transfer Center, 801 Broadway
• January 5, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., 916 Main Street, Suite 1210
• January 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., 916 Main Street, 2nd Floor conference room, held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled Technical Advisory Committee meeting
• January 12, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., Maggie Trejo Supercenter, 3200 Amherst
The Draft FY 2027–2030 TIP and supporting documentation are available for review on the LMPO website at www.LubbockMPO.org . This public notice and associated comment period satisfy the “public involvement activities” and program of projects requirements of the Urbanized Area Formula Program (49 U.S.C. §5303) and applicable Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit Administration metropolitan planning regulations.
