SEBASTIAN COUNTY ARKANSAS
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)
FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
In accordance with §19-11-801, et seq., of the Arkansas Code of 1998 Annotated, notice is hereby given that the Sebastian County Judge requests annual Statements of Qualifications and Performance Data from all persons or interested Professional Services firms to augment our in-house professional staff throughout the year 2026. The types of services that have been contracted for in the past include: Architectural, Engineering, Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing, HVAC Design and Installation, Environmental Investigation and Studies, Construction Management, Legal and Insurance. The Purchasing Department maintains a master consultant list, which is used to notify consultants of professional services opportunities.
Any Interested persons or firms desiring to be considered are to submit the following information for review:
1. General information about the Firm’s history; staff size and location.
2. Past project experience including project name, location, size, cost, year of completion, description and Owner contact information.
3. The specialized experience and technical competence for the firm with respect to the type of professional services required.
4. The capacity and capability of the firm to perform work in question, including specialized services, within the time limitations fixed for the completion of a project.
5. The past record of performance of the firm with respect to such factors as control of costs; quality of work and ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
6. The firm’s proximity to and familiarity with Sebastian County.
Responses are to be submitted in two (2) copies no later than 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2025 to Sebastian County Judge, Steve Hotz, C/O Purchasing Department, 35 South 6th Street, Room 106, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Sebastian County reserves the right to reject any or all responses and waive any irregularities or formalities in responses received. The County reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent acceptable firm(s). Contracts will be based on those considerations that are in the best interest of Sebastian County and will be made to the responsive, responsible offerer(s) whose response is judged to be the most effective for the purpose intended, according to the requirements stated in the Request for Qualifications. This RFQ does not commit Sebastian County to award or contract, nor pay any costs incurred, in the preparation and submission of proposals in anticipation of a contract.
