CONSTRUCTION OF WESTSIDE ROAD BRIDGE OVER CANYON HOLLOW CREEK REPLACEMENT PROJECT BID NEGOTIATION: 5470 will be received at the office of the City Clerk, 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, CA 96001, until 3 p.m., January 22, 2026, at which time they will publicly opened and read for the performing of the work as follows: Work includes the Westside Road bridge replacement and approach roadway. Major work includes, but is not limited to: Removal of the existing bridge in stages, construction of a new bridge to be completed over two seasons, road construction work, sidewalks, curb and gutter, traffic control and traffic handling, utility coordination, relocations and installation, storm water pollution control. Bid forms for this work are included in a separate book entitled Proposal. Engineer's Estimate is $3,345,000.00 Contractor shall possess a Class A license at the time bid is opened. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. Each bid shall be made in accordance with the specifications and proposal requirements thereof. No bid will be received unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. Each bid must be accompanied by cash, certified or cashier's check, or original bidder's bond made payable to the City of Redding for an amount equal to at least 10% of the total amount of the bid as a guarantee that the contractor will execute the contract in conformance with his proposal and the specifications. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
