South Dallas County Landfill November 12, 2025 The November meeting of the South Dallas County Landfill was called to order by Chair Shirley K. McAdon at 3:36 p.m. Also present: Mike Fountas and Michael Chadwick. Review and Approve the Minutes of the Previous Meeting: Motion by McAdon to approve the October 9, 2025 meeting minutes. Motion carried. Review and Approve Bills: McAdon questioned the Waste Management contract terms; Chadwick will follow up. Motion by McAdon to approve the bills. Motion carried. Review and Approve Financial Reports: Motion by McAdon to approve the financial reports. Motion carried. Receive Chair's Report: McAdon reported on the progress made to transition Landfill operations to a Department of the City of Adel. Receive Staff's Reports:DirectorEquipment Status: Fountas reported that all services are up-to-date. Site Status: Fountas commended staff on their efforts to keep the site clean and orderly.Other: Fountas reported that staff is working through the FY27 Budget for the City. Chadwick completed the operator training course and has passed the exam. Beginning with the next pay period, his salary will increase $1/hour. Collections: Chadwick will contact the three companies that have balances 61-90 days past due.Review and Approve Resolution of Dissolution: Motion by McAdon to approve the Resolution of Dissolution.
