The regular meeting of the Lafourche Parish Fire Protection District Number Three Board of Commissioners was held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. The meeting took place at the Lafourche Parish Fire District 3 Training Building in Cut Off. Chairman Reggie Pitre called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. PLEDGE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG: Chairman Pitre led the pledge to our flag. ROLL CALL OF COMMISSIONERS: Chairman Reggie Pitre–Present; Vice-Chairman Dean Savoie–Present; Commissioner Morris Guidry–Present; Commissioner Aaron Montez–Present; Commissioner Troy Dufrene–Present. APPROVAL OF BOARD MEETING MINUTES: Commissioner Savoie moved to accept the minutes of the October 27, 2025, Regular Board Meeting, as written, seconded by Commissioner Dufrene. No public comments. Vote held: Commissioner Savoie–Yea; Commissioner Guidry–Yea; Commissioner Dufrene- Yea; Commissioner Montez– Yea. OLD BUSINESS: Hebert advised GIS met with Picciola for concrete repairs to driveway. GIS sent letter to Picciola. Picciola is working with a contractor to get a schedule for when it will be completed. Discussion held. Hebert advised that Picciola is working to fix issues with flooring at Leeville. Discussion held. Hebert advised the Training Tower is complete. Introduced Pay App 6 to Foret Contracting to pay the retainage in the amount of $25,851.90. Hebert asked to approve the pay app to be paid once Hebert has the clear lien in hand. Contractor still has Clear Lien. Commissioner Savoie motioned to approve Pay App 6 once Hebert has Clear Lien Certificate in hand, seconded by Commissioner Dufrene. Public comments: None. Hebert stated South Golden Meadow Temporary Station is done just waiting on electrical to be complete. Introduced Retainage Pay App in the amount of $2,469. Commissioner Savoie motioned to approve Pay App for Retainage for South Golden Meadow Temporary Station, seconded by Commissioner Dufrene. Public comments: None. Hebert discussed South Golden Meadow and West Cut Off Temporary Stations both needing Final Elevation Certificates. GIS will go both at the same time. Once final elevations are done the electrician can finalize everything else. Chief Dedon would like power hooked up by December 9. Hebert stated West Cut Off Temporary Station is done just waiting on electrical to be complete. Introduced Retainage Pay App in the amount of $2,934. Received 5 proposals. Outer Limit Contractors is the responsive low bidder. Discussion held. Motion by Commissioner Savoie to go with Outer Limit Contractors, seconded by Commissioner Montez. Nick Marshall completed Schematic Design for Fire Central and returned to CSRS. Linda is reviewing designs and will return comments before sending them to FEMA. Linda is helping to clean up responses to FEMA. West Cut Off Station: Linda and Ben with CSRS are working on why structural elements are necessary for WCO. Discussion held. Goal is to be completed by this week and give it back to FEMA. Chief Dedon discussed involving Representatives. South Golden Meadow: Entergy is moving forward with design to add a temporary pole. Should be a notice to proceed to Contractors soon. Discussion held. Discussion held about temporary pole for filling air tanks at Fire Central before demolition. NEW BUSINESS: Execute contract with Lafourche Ambulance. Chief Dedon attended Lafourche Ambulance monthly meeting. Discussion was held. Commissioner Dufrene motioned to approve Chief Dedon to execute contract with Lafourche Ambulance, seconded by Commissioner Guidry. Public comments: None. Chief Dedon would like to move forward with paying this again this year. Discussion held. Savoie motioned to allow safety incentive to continue this year as it has in previous years, seconded by Commissioner Dufrene. Public comments: None. Chief Dedon would like to thank Chairman Pitre and Commissioner Montez for attending a Port Security conference with him. Discussion held on connections made at conference. Chief Dedon discussed fighting a marsh fire for multiple days. Property owner has rented big pumps to flood the pasture to try to stop the fire. Everyone has been working together for over 7 days. Thanked the firefighters, dispatchers, Ryan, and Uriah. Chief Dedon would like to put together a cost for the efforts and would like to bill the landowner. Discussion held. COMMUNICATION'S REPORT: Supervisor Mary St. Pierre advised for November so far, 95 calls to date, 187 LAD calls. Expert Technology installed new computer system on LAD side of CAD. St Pierre, Chief Dedon, and Assistant Chief Rousse visited with Motorola to discuss new CAD system. Discussion held. Dispatcher Gary Guidry completed Hazmat Awareness and Telecommunicator 1. Still have 1 trainee that started in September- going well. MECHANIC'S REPORT: Master Mechanic Ryan Pitre reported he received 17 CAD work orders and 22 maintenance reports. 2 trucks were brought in for routine maintenance. Discussion held.
