LEGAL NOTICE   The following are summaries of ordinances adopted by Canton City Council on Dec. 15, 2025. The complete text of the ordinances may be obtained for 10 cents per page or viewed free at the office of the Clerk of Council in City Hall, 218 Cleve. Ave. S.W., Canton, Ohio 44702, during non-holiday weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ordinance No. 240/2025 Appropriation Ord. No. 55/2025 is amended by making the supplemental appropriation reductions listed on Ex. A of the ordinance. Adopted as an emergency. Ordinance No. 241/2025 Council accepts the annexation of the territory known as The 3228 55th St. NE – 2025 Annexation Area containing approx. 2.585 acres of land per the legal description (Ex. A) and the map (Ex. B). Said annexed land from Plain Twp. shall be assigned to Ward 6 and zoned R-1A (Single Family Residential District). Adopted as an emergency. Ordinance No. 242/2025 Council accepts the annexation of the territory known as The 4403 Cleveland Ave. NW – 2025 Annexation containing approx. 5.128 acres of land per the legal description (Ex. A) and the map (Ex. B). Said annexed land from Plain Twp. shall be assigned to Ward 8 and zoned B-3 (General Business District). Adopted as an emergency. Ordinance No. 243/2025 Council adopts and approves temporary appropriations, effective Jan. 1, 2026, for the capital and operating expenditures for the first 90 days of the Fiscal Year ending Dec. 31, 2026, which appropriations are set forth in Ex. A and interfund transfers in Ex. C of the ordinance. Adopted as an emergency.
