NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids for street resurfacing for the year 2026 will be re-ceived by the Town of Oolitic until the hour of 4:30 PM (E.S.T.) on January 16, 2026 at Town Hall 109 Main St. Oolitic, Indiana 47451. At 6:30 PM (E.S.T.) all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Oolitic Town Hall. Any bid received later than this will be returned unopened.
Bids shall be properly and completely executed with form 96. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidders bond in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) made payable to the Town of Oolitic. Bid bonds must be secured by a surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in Indiana. Certified checks or bid bonds of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them upon selection of the successful bidder.
Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder- Specifications and information for bidders may be obtained from the Clerk-Treasurer's office Town Hall 109 Main St. Oolitic, Indiana 47451 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM (E.S.T.) Monday through Friday.
Each bid, bid bond or certified check, and a non-collusion affidavit shall be securely sealed in an envelope and clearly marked "street resurfacing for year 2026". The successful bidder shall be required to furnish the Town of Oolitic with a certificate of insurance showing that the bidder is covered by liability insurance in an amount of no less than one million ($ 1,000,000.00) dollars and that this coverage shall be in full force and effect during the time that the bidder is performing services for the Town.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within a 30 day period following date set for receiving bids. The Town of oolitic, Indiana reserves the right to hold any and all bids in part or in whole, and to waive Informalities, and to award the bid to any bidder or bidders, all to the advantage of the Town of oolitic.
