NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT
TOWN OF DRYDEN
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that I, Bambi L. Avery, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes of the Town of Dryden, County of Tompkins, and State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Dryden for the year 2026 and that I will receive taxes at the Town Clerk's Office, 93 East Main Street, in said Town of Dryden, from January 2, 2026, to March 31, 2026, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. excepting holidays, and including Saturdays in January only from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for the purpose of receiving the taxes on said roll.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that the taxes may be paid on or before February 2, 2026 without charge or interest. On all taxes received after such date there shall be added interest of one percent if paid by March 2, 2026. On all taxes received between March 3 and March 31, 2026, there shall be interest of two percent added.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that qualifying senior citizens who receive either a senior exemption or enhanced STAR exemption and are paying taxes on their residence may pay taxes in full on or before Monday, February 9, 2026, without penalty.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that pursuant to the provisions of law, the tax roll of the Town of Dryden will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Tompkins after April 1, 2026, at which time unpaid taxes will be subject to an additional 5% penalty.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, said taxes may be paid in installments if the first installment with service charge is paid on or before February 2, 2026.
AND TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, those property owners who do not receive their property tax bills in January should notify their tax receiver as they will still be responsible for payment.
