PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE OF INTENT TO DESIGNATE A POSITION TO THE FRS SENIOR
MANAGEMENT SERVICE CLASS
Notice is hereby given that the Leon County Government, under the provisions of Section 121.055, Florida Statutes, intends to designate the following managerial or policymaking position(s) to be included in the Florida Retirement System's (FRS) Senior Management Service Class.
Position Title(s): Assistant County Administrator, Budget Director, and Director of Emergency Management
The designation of this position to the Senior Management Service Class is based on the criteria established in Florida Statutes, which apply to specified nonelective, managerial, or policymaking positions. This notice serves to inform the public and affected employees of this proposed action.
The agency will complete and submit the required documentation (Form SMSD-1) to the Division of Retirement following the second week of this publication. The effective date for the SMSC designation will be the first of the month following receipt and approval of the form by the Division.
