BUILDING STANDARDS BOARD MEETING
Pursuant to Chapter 13, Article II, Section 13-22 of the City of Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances, generally known as The Corpus Christi Property Maintenance Code. There will be a public hearing before the Building Standards Board at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the City Council Chambers at 1201 Leopard Street for the purpose of determining whether a substandard structure exists on the following properties:

There are reasonable grounds to believe there are violations of the International Property Maintenance as adopted in §13-20 of the Corpus Christi Code of Ordinances (IPMC) or any rule or regulation concerning health, safety, or general welfare adopted by the City, with respect to structures on these properties. The structures are unsafe, unsanitary, unfit for human habitation, or do not provide adequate egress, or constitute a fire hazard or are otherwise dangerous to human life, or in relation to the existing use constitute a hazard to safety or health by reason of inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, obsolescence or abandonment.
All persons with an interest in this property are notified that the code official seeks orders from the Building Standards Board to repair, vacate or demolish any substandard structure which are determined to exist thereon. If the premises are to be vacated, the owner or occupant is required to come to the meeting and show cause why the remedy sought by the official should not be granted.
The owner may appeal the decision of the Board to the City Council. If the order of the Board is not timely followed the City may demolish the building and file a lien against the property to recover expenses.
