PUBLIC NOTICE TO VOTERS IN THE MOUNT ARLINGTON BOROUGH   SPECIAL SCHOOL ELECTION – JANUARY 27, 2026   A Special School Election will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 for the voters in Mount Arlington Borough. Polls will open between the hours of 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Voters in this municipality will be voting on the following Budgetary Spending Proposal Question:   BUDGETARY SPENDING PROPOSAL QUESTION   The Board of Education of the Borough of Mount Arlington in the County of Morris, New Jersey shall raise an additional $975,000 for General Funds in the 2026-2027 school year. These taxes will be used exclusively to provide for various purposes, including but not limited to maintaining teachers, instructional staff, facilities, curricular programs, athletics and extracurricular activities. Approval of these taxes will result in a permanent increase in the School District’s tax levy. The additional taxes authorized herein will be used exclusively for purposes described herein and to finance expenditures that are in addition to those necessary to achieve the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.   INTERPRETIVE STATEMENT   If the Budgetary Spending Proposal is approved by the voters at this election, the Board of Education will be authorized to raise an additional $975,000 for General Funds in the 2026-2027 school year.
