PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE Tobyhanna Township Zoning Hearing Board will conduct a public hearing at the Tobyhanna Township Municipal Building, 105 Government Center Way, Pocono Pines, PA 18350, on Wednesday, January 14, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of hearing the following:
APPLICANT Daniel Seip of 4129 Firefly Court, Pocono Lake, PA 18347 seeks front yard dimensional variance of 18 ft. to construct a single-family dwelling 30 ft. in width x 24 ft. depth and 29 ft. height at Lot 18 Lakeshore Drive, Arrowhead Lake, Pocono Lake, PA 18347, said property also identified as Tobyhanna Township Tax Map Parcel No. 19.17A.2.58. The minimum front yard setback in the R2 district is 40 ft. Applicant proposes a 22 ft. front yard. This application differs from Applicant’s prior March 14, 2025 application to construct a 30 ft. wide x 26 ft. deep, 38 ft. tall dwelling at the same property, said application required a 20 ft. front yard variance. This Board denied the March 14, 2025 application. The Monroe County Court of Common Pleas denied Applicant’s Appeal (No. 3844 CV 2025). Applicant filed an Appeal to the PA Commonwealth Court which remains pending at the time of this Notice.
APPLICANT Bela Karbachinskaya of 10 Whitney Farm Place, Morristown, NJ 07960 seeks a dimensional variance from the 40 ft. minimum rear yard setback in the R2 zoning district. Applicant proposes to construct at 25 ft. x 21 ft. to bay garage addition to an existing single-family dwelling. The proposed addition will reduce the existing 41 ft. rear yard setback to 16 ft. The property is located at the southwest corner of Oak Road and Oakland Place. The address is 1147 Oakland Place further identified as Monroe County Tax Map Parcel No. 19.5A.1.71, also known as Lot 16, Unit 5, Section 1 of Lake Naomi.
APPLICANT Live Free Construction of 4758 Route 447, Canadensis, PA 18325 seeks a dimensional variance to construct a single-family dwelling of undisclosed dimensions on an irregularly shaped lot with a lot depth varying from 80.42 ft. to 97.58 ft. said lot identified as Tobyhanna Township Tax Map Parcel No. 19.20.1.76, also known as Lot T639 on the easterly side of Fern Crest Road, adjoining lands now or formerly of Hanning Development LLC Parcel ID No. 19.98566. The property is zoned R-2.
