NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND WARRANT   TAKE NOTICE that I, Sandra Martin, the undersigned Collector of Taxes of the Town of Triangle, County of Broome, State of New York, have received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Triangle for the year 2026 and that I will attend at the Triangle Town Clerk’s Office, Triangle Town Hall, 2612 Liberty Street, Whitney Point, New York in said Town of Triangle each Monday 10 AM-5 PM Wednesday 9AM-5 PM and Friday 9 AM-5 PM (except legal holidays) of January, February and March 2026 for the purpose of collecting taxes listed on the tax roll.   TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes will be received without interest by the collecting officer on or before January 31, 2026, or within 30 days of the date of the first publication of this notice, whichever is later. On all taxes received after such day, there shall be added interest as follows for the month of February or fraction thereof and for each additional month or fraction thereof until such taxes are paid or until the return of unpaid taxes to the Broome County Treasurer (Finance Officer) pursuant to law: interest at the rate of 1 % for February and interest at the rate of 2% for March. The current rate of interest for delinquent taxes is twelve (12%) per annum.   You may make partial payment on your Town and County Taxes. To do so, the Tax Collector must receive at least 50% of the tax bill during the month of January 2026, and the balance is due, with appropriate interest, by March 31, 2026, with a maximum number of payments of three (3).   TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that pursuant to the provisions of law, the tax roll of the Town of Triangle will be returned to the County Finance Officer of the County of Broome on the 1st day of April 2026.   Section 987 (1) of the Real Property Tax Law requires the collecting officer, on or after the thirty-first day following the expiration of the period during which taxes may be paid without interest, to mail a notice to each owner of real property upon which taxes remain unpaid on the tax roll. Such notice must state: amount, among other things, that the taxes on the property have not been paid. The expense of mailing such notices shall be an additional penalty of one dollar chargeable against the parcel.
