TAKE NOTICE, that I, Katlyn Colombani-Ruiz, the undersigned, Receiver of Taxes and Assessment of the City of Elmira, Chemung County, New York, has duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the City of Elmira for the year 2026 and that my representative will attend at the Treasurer’s Office, 320 E. Market Street, in the said City of Elmira, from January 2, 2026 to March 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM to Noon and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, for the purpose of receiving the taxes listed on said roll. Taxes may also be paid at any branch of Chemung Canal Trust Company from January 2, 2026 through March 31, 2026.   TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that taxes may be paid on or before January 31, 2026 without charge or interest. On all such taxes remain unpaid after January 31, 2026, one percent of the amount of the unpaid tax for each month or fraction thereafter until taxes is made by the Receiver to the County Treasurer pursuant to law. Pursuant to Section 987 of the Real Property Tax Law, as of March 1, 2026 an additional $2.00 penalty will be added to the total due and owing.   TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that pursuant to the provisions of law the tax roll of the City of Elmira, will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Chemung on the 1st day of April, 2026.
