Bloomington Redevelopment Commission Notice of Public Meeting Residential Housing Development Programs Pursuant to Indiana Code 36-7-14-53(d)(3), before formal submission of any residential housing development program to the Bloomington Redevelopment Commission (“RDC”), the department of redevelopment shall hold at least one (1) public meeting to obtain the views of neighborhood associations and residents of the affected neighborhood to provide an opportunity to participate in an advisory role in planning, implementing, and evaluating the proposed program. The RDC is preparing residential housing development programs (“RHDP”) for the construction of new residential housing in the City of Bloomington. Draft programs for the Hopewell South RHDP and the Summit District RHDP will be developed and placed on the RDC’s weblink on the City’s website for review. The thirty (30)-day public review period will begin on January 6, 2026, and will end on February 5, 2026. The RDC has scheduled and will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., in the Bloomington City Hall Council Chambers located at 401 North Morton Street, Bloomington, Indiana, to present each RHDP and to consider public input. This is not deemed to be a public hearing of the RDC. The RDC will consider the RHDPs at its regular meeting on February 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Written comments, remonstrances and objections may be filed with the Executive Director for the Bloomington RDC at the Housing and Neighborhood Development office located at 401 North Morton Street, Suite 130, Bloomington, Indiana 47404, until Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. All written comments, remonstrances, and objections will be dated and time stamped at such time of filing. At the public meeting, the RDC shall consider only those written statements that were filed in a timely manner.
