THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF ERIE
BID ADVERTISEMENT
On Wednesday, January 28, 2026, The School District of the City of Erie will receive bids for Additions & Alterations for the Grover Cleveland Elementary School, 1540 W. 38th St., Erie, PA 16508. Bids will be received up to 11:00 a.m., to the attention of Alyssa Cook, Board Secretary, The School District of the City of Erie, 1910 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA 16502-2716, or through email as indicated below.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the site, on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Grover Cleveland Elementary School.
It is the intent of the Owner to enter into separate contracts as follows:
Contract No. 1 General Construction.
Contract No. 2 HVAC Construction.
Contract No. 3 Plumbing Construction.
Contract No. 4 Electrical Construction.
Contract No. 5 Asbestos Removal
All bids for Contract No.s 1 through No. 4 shall conform with Contract Documents prepared by HHSDR Architects/Engineers, 40 Shenango Ave., Sharon, PA, 16146, and 201 Century Building, 130 Seventh St., Pittsburgh, PA, 15222. Bidders who contact the Sharon office of HHSDR (724-981-8820) will receive a public link to the Contract Documents. No hard copies will be distributed from HHSDR and no deposit is required.
Bids for Contract No. 5 shall conform with Contract Documents prepared by Intertek-PSI (Professional Service Industries), Environmental & Laboratory Services Building & Construction, 850 Poplar Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Contractors desiring to bid the Asbestos Removal Contract may obtain same by contacting Intertek-PSI at 412-385-0585.
All Bids shall include a Bid Security Bond or Certified Check, payable to The School District of the City of Erie, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, as included in the Contract Documents.
All Bidders shall comply with the Responsible Contracting with the District Policy, as included in the Contract Documents.
Sealed bids shall be marked with the Project Name stated above. Bids shall be delivered in either person, via USPS, a contract carrier such as UPS, FedEx, etc., or via electronic submission to bids@eriesd.org. The subject line on electronic submissions shall be marked as indicated herein. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened, either in person or virtually, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
It is the intent of the School District to hold the bid opening in person at the Administration Building, 1910 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA 16502, on the date and at the time indicated above.
