RECEIVER OF TAXES NOTICE   Please take notice, that I, Cherri L. Hyer, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes of the Town of German Flatts, County of Herkimer and State of New York, have duly received the 2026 Town & County tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of German Flatts. I will be collecting 2026 Town & County taxes weekdays, except holidays, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Town Office Building, 66 E Main St, Mohawk, for the period of Jan 2 thru Mar 31, 2026. Please take further notice, that taxes may be paid on or before Feb 2, 2026 without charge or interest. On all taxes remaining unpaid after such date, there shall be added interest of one percent for each month until the return is made to the County Treasurer after Mar 31, 2026. In addition, a second notice will be sent if taxes are not paid prior to Mar 6, 2026. To the original notice, $2.00 will be added to the taxes on EACH parcel owed, according to Real Property Tax Law 987. This charge becomes part of the amount due and cannot be waived.  Cherri L.
