Notice of Public Hearing Regarding Adoption of Ordinance 2025-16 an Ordinance to Adopt the 2025 California Building Standards Code and Related Codes NOTICE IS HERBY GIVEN, pursuant to Government Code section 50022.3, that the Visalia City Council will hold a public hearing during the regularly scheduled meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard at the Visalia City Council Chambers, 707 W. Acequia Avenue, Visalia, California to consider the following items: An ordinance of the City of Visalia amending Title 15 (Building and Construction) of the Visalia Municipal Code by adopting the 2025 California Building Standards Code incorporating the 2025 California Administrative Code, Title 24, Part 1; 2025 California Referenced Standards Code, Title 24, Part 12; 2025 California Building Code, Title 24, Part 2, Volumes 1 and 2, with Appendix Chapters B, C, F, H, I, J, P and Q; 2025 California Plumbing Code, Title 24, Part 5, with Appendix Chapters A, B, D, H, I and J; 2025 California Mechanical Code, Title 24, Part 4, with Appendix Chapters B and C; 2025 California Electrical Code, Title 24, Part 3, with Appendix Chapters A, B and C; 2025 California Historical Building Code, Title24, Part 8; 2025 California Residential Code, Title 24, Part 2.5, with Appendix Chapters BF, BB, BJ, CK and CJ; 2025 California Green Building Standards Code, Title 24, Part 11, with Appendix Chapters A4 and A5, including Tiers 1 & 2; 2025 California Energy Code, Title 24, Part 6; 2025 California Existing Building Code, Title 24, together with the adoption of specific appendices and code sections determined by the City Council as necessary due to local conditions, along with a description of those local conditions.
