PROPERTY TO BE DEMOLISHED PURSUANT
TO THE INDIANA UNSAFE BUILDING ACT
To all persons or corporations having or claiming any rights, ti-tles or interest in the following real estate, and more specifically:
NELSON WEAVER III 411 W 8TH ST, MISHAWAKA, IN 46544 REGARDING PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 817 E SAMPLE ST AND LEGALLY DESCRIBED PART OF LOT 10 & ALL LOT 9 NICKELS SUB & PARTS LOTS 2 & 3 KNOBLOCKS SUB 24/25 CONS W/1428 PER OWNERS REQ AFFIRMED ORDER UNDER CAUSE NO. HSG-18-00646 TO DEMOLISH COMMERCIAL
Pursuant to the Indiana Unsafe Building Act, an affirmed order to demolish the above-referenced property exists. Because the structure has not been demolished, the City of South Bend shall advertise for bids for the demolition. A demolition contract will be awarded to a licensed contractor as required by I.C. 36-7-9-10 & 36-7-9-11 to accomplish the work of demolishing the house, garage, fence in compliance with the order. The public bids for the contract will be opened at 9:30 a.m. on 01/27/2026 in Rm. 301, City Hall, 215 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., South Bend, IN 46601. A copy of the statement of public bid may be obtained from the Neighborhood Services & Enforcement at the contact information below.
Both the bid price of the licensed contractor who accomplishes the work and an amount representing a reasonable estimate of the cost incurred by Neighborhood Service and Enforcement in processing the matter of the unsafe premises may, if not paid, be recorded after a hearing as a lien against all persons having a fee interest, life estate interest, or equitable interest of a con-tract purchaser in the unsafe premises.
