ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS   Sealed proposals will be received by Trenholm State Community College at Patterson Campus Building E, 3920 Troy Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36116 until 2:00 pm local time on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026, for the TSCC Patterson Building F Interior Renovation project at which time and place they will be opened and read.   The scope of work will include selective demolition of existing interior partitions and reconfiguration of existing machine tool shop into office and classroom spaces including new interior partitions, floors and ceilings, and minor changes to the building exterior including partial demolition of exterior wall and installation of new storefront.   All interested General Contractors shall contact the Architect at jbthomas@sslarch.com to receive the criteria and the pre-qualification application for this project. Pre-qualification application forms should be emailed to jbthomas@sslarch.com. Forms will be received until 5:00 pm CST, 1/30/2026.   There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference for all pre-qualified contractors on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 2:00 pm local time in the TSCC Patterson Building E Multipurpose Room (Room 120) located at 3920 Troy Hwy, Montgomery, AL 36116.   Electronic images of bid documents may be viewed online for a deposit of $0.00 through the Architect’s online plan-room at www.sslarch.com by accessing the Info Exchange Login. These documents may be used only for the purpose of bidding and constructing this project. The architect retains all copyrights and ownership of the documents.   Only general contractors who have been approved to bid pursuant to prequalification procedures and criteria established by the Owner will be eligible to bid for the Project.   A cashier’s check or bid bond payable to Alabama Community College System in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, must accompany the bidder’s proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid documents will be required at the signing of the Contract.   Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered.
